Aviation art by Clive Brooks (93rd)

Clive joined the Royal Air Force as an Apprentice Airframe Fitter, 93rd Entry, in September 1959. Following graduation 3 years later he spent the next 30 years caring for the RAF's fast jets from the EE Lightning through to the Panavia Tornado.

Outside of fixing aircraft, his talent for drawing and painting manifested itself in the production of artwork commissioned for presentations to individuals, Messes and HQs, as well as many private orders from an appreciative clientile. (A measure of the quality of his work was the auctioning of a painting at Sothebys.)

Passionate about the accuracy of technical details, aircraft markings, serial numbers, etc. Clive in retirement still continues to paint and accepts commissions at brat93uk@hotmail.com
